My father was Attorney General and he believed that the Civil Justice System was the cornerstone of American democracy. It distinguishes American democracy from any other system in the world. And I think it's one of the things that gives us the claim to be an exemplary nation because no matter who you are, if you suffer an injury, you're entitled to go to a jury of your peers and obtain redress and there's nothing like that on the planet.
