Biography Overview
Johnny Stewart is a skilled attorney practicing at Morgan & Morgan, specializing in medical malpractice and complex personal injury cases. Originally from Tennessee, Johnny earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Tennessee in 2013. He then attended Charleston School of Law, where he excelled in advocacy, winning the school's 2014 Internal Moot Court Competition and being named Advocate of the Year for the 2015-2016 school year. After graduating with his Juris Doctor in 2016, he was admitted to the South Carolina Bar and has exclusively practiced in the state ever since.
Johnny began his career on the defense side, representing insurance companies, hospitals, and physicians for the first three years. However, he soon shifted his focus to representing individuals facing complex legal issues, particularly medical malpractice cases. Over the past five years, Johnny has tried more than 20 cases as first chair in courts across South Carolina, earning recognition for his skill and dedication. His achievements have been acknowledged by his inclusion as a Rising Star for Super Lawyers (2023-2025) and as “One to Watch” by Best Lawyers for 2025.
Outside of his legal practice, Johnny enjoys spending time with his wife, Julie Stewart, a criminal attorney and magistrate judge in Dorchester County, and their two daughters. He also takes great pride in cheering on his beloved Tennessee Volunteers. Johnny’s deep commitment to his clients, trial experience, and family-oriented approach make him a trusted advocate in the legal community.
