Biography Overview
David Deganian is an experienced attorney with expertise in Social Security law. After graduating from the University of the Georgia and Georgia State University College of Law, Mr. Deganian began his legal career representing indigent criminal defendants at the Office of Public Defender, Atlanta Judicial Circuit.
After leaving the Office of the Public Defender, he was awarded the University of Georgia School of Law’s Public Interest Fellowship, fully funding a legal services program he crafted to provide legal services to minority and low-income clients.
As a fellow, he drafted legislation for the City of Atlanta, represented community organizations in federal litigation, and worked with experts to map areas of environmental inequality in Atlanta. He also served as a visiting professor of law at Barry University School of Law, where he led a team of law students in the provision of legal services to non-profit organizations.
For the past several years, Mr. Deganian has been zealously representing clients in the area of Social Security law. He has successfully represented hundreds of clients in disability hearings before administrative law judges. He has a passion for representing disabled clients who have been unable to secure the benefits they are entitled to under the law.
