Biography Overview
Ashley Nelson was born in Georgia and has resided in Florida since primary school. Growing up in the coastal city of Fort Pierce, Ashley often advocated on behalf of others during their most vulnerable moments. Developing a passion for advocacy at a young age helped carve her pathway to law.
Ashley received a Bachelors of Science in Health Science from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU); later, receiving her Juris Doctorate from FAMU Law.
While in law school, Ashley clerked with a litigation attorney at a mid-size personal injury firm in central Florida. There, Ashley was able to gain insight and experience in personal injury litigation. To diversify her background, during the summer of the second year of law school, Ashley studied abroad at Queen Mary University of London, via the Dispute Resolution Institution. During this educational experience, Ashley was able to enhance her skills in client advocacy, negotiations and litigation, as well as, gain invaluable experience in arbitration, earning a Certificate in Global Arbitration Law and Practice.
After graduating law school, Ashley immediately began to place her skills to work as an associate litigation attorney, fighting for the rights of accident victims throughout the state of Florida.
