Cottonelle Flushable Wipes Lawsuits

Kimberly-Clark produces and sells various Cottonelle Flushable Wipes and Cottonelle GentlePlus Flushable wipes to consumers across America.. Sadly, these items may contain pluralibacter gergoviae, a bacterium that can cause a host of health problems such as:

• Rash
• Skin irritation
• Skin Infection
• Urinary Tract Infection
• Respiratory Infection
• Gastrointestinal Infection

The company characterized pluralibacter gergoviae as a “cause of infection in humans” and “an opportunistic pathogen.” Those with weakened immune systems, who have undergone surgery, and who have pre-existing conditions may be particularly at risk.

The recall is limited to specific lots of Cottonelle Flushable Wipes and Cottonelle GentlePlus Flushable Wipes manufactured between February 7, 2020 and September 14, 2020. If you purchased one of these products, you may be able to identify whether it was from the recalled lots by finding the lot number on the bottom of the package and entering that information in the company’s search tool here.
