What Are Tamko Laminated Asphalt Shingles?
Tamko Heritage Series Laminated Asphalt Shingles are a 30-year limited warranty roof covering made with weathering-grade asphalt. Heritage Series Laminated Asphalt Shingles are supposed to provide years of roof protection, with features including weather resistant construction, double-layer fiberglass matting, and self-sealing asphalt strips for wind resistance.
What Problems Are Being Reported with Tamko Laminated Asphalt Shingles?
While Tamko Building Products, Inc. markets its shingles as providing excellent roofing protection and sells the shingles with a lengthy limited warranty, consumers have alleged that these Tamko shingle defects have manifested long before the expiration of the warranty. A number of consumers have reported issues with their Tamko Laminated Asphalt Shingles including, but not limited to, the following:
- Cracking
- Delamination
- Curling
- Warping

Tamko Laminated Asphalt Shingles are not currently being recalled.
