The show exposed one company's cost-cutting practice of purchasing laminate flooring from Chinese mills known to have dangerous levels of formaldehyde in their products.

After 60 Minutes uncovered that, we discovered that Eternity Flooring has also sold Chinese-made laminate flooring that has unsafe levels of formaldehyde. Laminate flooring manufactured or supplied by this company may also have been sold through Wayfair, Walmart, and perhaps other entities.

What’s worse, exposure to formaldehyde gas in your home has been found to result in an increased risk of cancer. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control found that formaldehyde emissions from Chinese-made laminate flooring sold resulted in an increase of 6 to 30 cases of cancer per 100,000 persons.
