Kolbe Windows

Kolbe makes non-vinyl window products, including both all-wood and wood and aluminum product lines. Some have said they are prone to chronic water and air infiltration.

Kolbe advertises its all-wood windows as having a unique, high-quality performance finish system, known as “K-Kron.” Kolbe says the system provides “flexibility, durability and beauty.” Similarly, Kolbe describes its aluminum and wood windows as “the ultimate in low maintenance.” The wood sections of Kolbe’s aluminum and wood products, as well as their all-wood windows, are pre-treated with PILT, which Kolbe says provides resistance against water, mold and rotting.
