General Mills Totino's and Jeno's Frozen Pizza Recall - E. coli

According to the US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service, General Mills Operations has issued a recall on just over 3 million pounds of frozen meat pizza products that may be tainted with E. coli O157:H7 and could also be connected to a recent rash of E. coli O157:H7 infections.

    All of these items contain the establishment number “EST. 7750” inside the USDA mark of inspection in addition to a “best if used by date” marked on the package no later than “02 APR 08 WS.” This date is based on a 155-day shelf life.

  • Was My Pizza Product Recalled?

    Consumers should search their refrigerators for similar pizza products. These recalled frozen pizza products were manufactured prior to October 31, 2007 and shipped to retail stores across the country. If any of these products are found, retain the boxes and do not consume the pizza.

    The Tennessee Department of Health conducted a joint investigation with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention when numerous bouts of E. coli O157:H7 sicknesses were reported in multiple states.
