What accounts for over 8 million emergency room visits per year? Here's a hint: it isn't cars, sports, or wild animals. That's right, it's slips, trips, and falls.

A slip, trip and falls case is when a person is injured on someone else's property and it happens a lot.

Case Requirement:

A successful claim has to meet a few requirements. The injury must be caused by the owner's negligence to inspect and maintain their property such as:

  • Water
  • Grease
  • Food on the floor
  • Items carelessly left on walkways
  • or, unexpected changes in elevation caused by tree roots or poor construction

What to Do After a Slip & Fall

  • Take pictures of the scene
  • Ask the property owner for an incident report
  • Look for witnesses to the accident and get their info
  • And of course, get treatment for injuries

If any of this sounds familiar call an attorney they'll provide the next steps to help support your claim.
