The following product recalls have been announced this week—make sure you’re in the know.

John Deere ZTrak™ Zero Turn Mowers With Kawasaki Engines

Kawasaki Motors USA recalled its John Deere ZTrak Zero Turn Mowers with Kawasaki Engines due to fire and burn hazards. The voltage regulator in the mower’s engine can fail during use or while the product is being stored, causing the engine to overheat.

Yaomiao Children’s Jewelry Sets

Yaomiao has recalled its Children’s Jewelry Sets due to a risk of lead and cadmium poisoning. The recalled jewelry sets contain levels of lead that exceed the federal lead content ban and levels of cadmium that are prohibited in children’s products by the Federal Hazardous Substances Act.

Euqee Wintergreen Essential Oils

Euqee recalled its Wintergreen Essential Oils due to a risk of poisoning. The essential oil contains methyl salicylate, which must be in child-resistant packaging, as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act (PPPA). The packaging for the products is not child-resistant.

Ford F-Series Trucks

Ford Motor is recalling 295,449 diesel-engine F-Series trucks because a defective fuel pump could cause a loss of power, raising the risk of a crash. Biodiesel deposits may form on the pump drivetrain roller components, which could lead to failure of the high-pressure fuel pump. The recall includes 2020–2022 Ford Super Duty F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550, and F-600 vehicles, as well as 2021–2022 Ford F-650 and F-750 vehicles.

Kia EV9 Hybrid Electric Vehicles

Kia issued a recall for 22,883 of its model year 2024–2025 Kia EV9 hybrid electric vehicles over concerns the vehicles’ second- or third-row seats were missing bolts. Seats with missing seat mounting bolts may not properly restrain an occupant during certain collisions, increasing the risk of injury.
