The following product recalls have been announced this week—make sure you’re in the know.

 

2016–2023 Mazda MX-5 Miata

Mazda is recalling more than 77,000 model year 2016-2023 MX-5 Miata vehicles due to a risk of airbag injury. The airbags may deploy with more force than expected during a minor crash or collision.  

 

2021–2024 Porsche Taycans

Porsche is recalling over 27,000 of its 2021-2024 Taycans due to a risk of fire. The high-voltage battery pack may experience a short circuit within the battery module.

 

2023–2024 Ram 1500 Trucks

Over 129,000 2023-2024 Ram 1500 trucks are recalled due to a turn signal malfunction. Mechanisms within the turn signal lever can experience an interference condition, causing the turn signal's self-canceling feature to not function properly.

 

Mercury Neo-Tee T-Piece Resuscitators

Mercury Medical has recalled 1,300 emergency breathing support devices in response to a problem that can affect the ventilation of the patient. The airway pressure controller can come apart due to a manufacturing error.

 

Honda Vehicles

Honda is recalling about 1.7 million vehicles in the U.S. due to a problem with the steering gearbox assembly. The steering gearbox assembly might have been manufactured incorrectly, which can cause excessive internal friction and make it difficult to steer the vehicle.

The vehicles being recalled are:

  • 2023-2025 Acura Integra, Honda Civic Type R, Honda CR-V, Honda Hybrid CR-V and Honda HR-V
  • 2022-2025 Honda Civic and Civic Hatchback
  • 2024-2025 Acura Integra Type S
  • 2025 CR-V Fuel Cell EV, Civic Hybrid, and Civic Hatchback Hybrid

 

Fisher-Price Snuga Infant Swings

Mattel is recalling Fisher-Price Snuga infant swings due to suffocation risks after five deaths. The swing should never be used for sleep and bedding materials such as blankets should not be added.

 

Droyd Multi-Purpose Helmets

Reyhee Group has recalled all Droyd Multi-Purpose Helmets due to a risk of head injury. The helmets can fail to protect the wearer in the event of a crash.

 

Gimars Playpens

Gimars Playpens have been recalled due to entrapment and suffocation hazards. The included basketball hoop accessory can be a head entrapment hazard and children can become entrapped beneath the mattress.

 

Droyd Fury Youth All-Terrain Vehicles

Reyhee Group and Jingling International are recalling Droyd Fury Youth All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) due to a laceration hazard. The handlebars pose a laceration hazard if the child rider’s body or head impacts the handlebars at a high rate of speed.

 

Allen + Roth Lighted Bathroom Mirrors

Homewerks Worldwide has recalled its Allen + Roth Lighted Bathroom Mirrors due to injury and laceration hazards. The mirrors’ glass can detach from the wall attachment base and fall.

 

NPW Group Halloween Projector Flashlights 

NPW Group is recalling its Halloween Projector Flashlights due to fire and burn hazards. The flashlights can overheat and melt the outer casing.
