The following product recalls have been announced this week—make sure you’re in the know.

 

CVS and H-E-B Infant Premium Formula

Perrigo Company plc is recalling 16,500 cans of store brand (CVS and H-E-B) Premium Infant Formula with Iron Milk-Based Powder because of levels of Vitamin D above the maximum level permitted. 

 

Samsung Electric Stoves

Samsung has issued a recall for 30 models of its electric stoves due to fire and burn hazards. The front-mounted knobs can accidentally be activated if people or even pets bump into them. The ranges have also been involved in approximately 250 fires, with at least 18 fires causing extensive property damage, 40 injuries, with eight requiring medical attention, and seven pet deaths.

 

SMEG Refrigerators

SMEG USA is recalling refrigerator models beginning with the model number FAB38U due to an injury hazard. The refrigerator door can detach and fall off.

 

Ford Vehicle Airbags

Ford Motor Co. issued a do-not-drive advisory for owners of certain vehicles equipped with Takata airbag inflators who have not yet had their vehicles repaired under three past safety recalls. Affected models include 2004-06 Ford Ranger trucks, 2005-14 Ford Mustang vehicles, 2005-06 Ford GT vehicles, 2006-12 Ford Fusion, Mercury Milan, Lincoln MKZ / Zephyr vehicles, 2007-10 Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX vehicles, and 2007-11 Ford Ranger trucks.
