Recently, Facebook announced improvements to its chat feature that could potentially make all other messaging apps obsolete.

Theyā€™ve introduced Messenger Codes, similar to Snapchatā€™s snapcodes, which look like a series of dots and dashes surrounding a person or businessā€™s profile picture. All you have to do to add someone as a contact and start a chat with them is scan their code.
