Morgan & Morgan Helps Exchange Club Family Center with Goal of Ending Family Violence
Recently, our office donated money to the Exchange Club Family Center, an organization here in Memphis dedicated to fighting family violence and child abuse.
Specifically, the organization provides education and services to break the cycle of violence and abuse, so that children who are victims don’t grow up to be abusers. Children can find a safe haven to be nurtured, and parents can learn new behaviors that enable them to take better care of their children.
The Exchange Club Family Center [offers][1] programs that improve life skills to help children and adults learn to modify behaviors, improve self-esteem, and deal with anger.
The organization began in 1984 with a staff of three and now has over 30 staff members, according to the organization. The staff is unsurpassed in the Mid-South in experience and knowledge of child abuse and family violence. The center offers 20 programs that served over 5,500 clients and family members last year.
We are extremely proud of all of those in our Memphis office who helped contribute to the Family Center. At Morgan & Morgan many of our managing partners in our offices hold leadership positions in charitable organizations, and we encourage all of our staff to practice compassion in their communities. This time around, the office donated more than $400 to the Family Center.
If you would like to contribute to the Exchange Club Family Center, there are many ways that you can do so. You can make a general donation, recurring donation, or give a memorial or honorarium. You can also donate your time and resources by volunteering. For more information please go to the center’s website.
