Kathryn Barnett Once Again Receives Best Lawyers, Super Lawyers Honors

Adding to her already impressive resume as one of Tennessee’s most esteemed trial lawyers, Kathryn Barnett, managing partner of Morgan & Morgan’s new Nashville office, has been included in the 21^st edition of The Best Lawyers in America in the areas of plaintiffs’ personal injury litigation and plaintiffs’ product liability litigation. Additionally, and perhaps more notably, Barnett has been named Best Lawyers’ 2015 plaintiffs’ product liability litigation Lawyer of the Year, an award only one attorney can receive in each community.

“I strive to be a lawyer’s lawyer—a lawyer that other lawyers can confidently call when they want to refer or collaborate on a case. I am honored to be recognized by other lawyers, and the consistency of being named year after year lets me know I’m on the right track,” Barnett said.

A graduate of Vanderbilt Law School, Barnett’s expansive resume already includes not only multiple acknowledgements from Best Lawyers, but also past awards from other highly reputable publications in the legal field, including Super Lawyers and Martindale Hubbell. In fact, not only has Barnett been acknowledged this year in multiple areas by The Best Lawyers in America, she’s also made it onto Super Lawyers’ list of the top 50 female attorneys for the organization’s Mid-South list.

After joining Morgan & Morgan earlier this year, Barnett was instrumental in helping the firm open one of its newest office locations in Nashville. Though juggling her responsibilities as a trial lawyer can get a little hectic, Barnett says that the burden of running an office and interacting with clients is one that she has no problem bearing.

“Opening Morgan & Morgan Nashville is a game changer for the quality of service for personal injury and contingent business lawyers,” Barnett said. “My clients mean everything to me. They have put their trust in me to speak for them, to represent them in seeking justice.”

Now that the firm’s Nashville office has been open for a few months, Barnett took some time to reflect on everything it took to get to this point with Morgan & Morgan.
