Stephen Ryan

Steve Ryan is a lifelong Rhode Islander. Steve grew up in Smithfield, Rhode Island, and attended LaSalle Academy in Providence. He obtained his Undergraduate Degree from Providence College and then graduated with his Law Degree from the Northeastern University School of Law.

After law school, Stephen began his career as a Law Clerk in the Rhode Island Supreme Court’s Trial Court Law Clerk Department. His responsibilities included assisting Trial Court Judges with researching complex legal issues and drafting legal opinions. 

After completing this appointment, Steve joined one of the largest regional defense firms in the Northeast, where he eventually became a Partner. In that capacity, Steve defended clients throughout both Rhode Island and Massachusetts in a wide range of general liability matters, with an emphasis on motor vehicle personal injury and premises liability suits. This included the defense of cases with catastrophic injuries including amputations and traumatic brain injuries, as well as wrongful death suits. Steve has extensive experience with all facets of litigation including investigation, discovery, alternative dispute resolution, trial and appellate work. 

With Morgan & Morgan, he now uses the insights and knowledge he gained on the defense side to achieve the best outcomes possible for his clients. 

Steve currently resides in Johnston, Rhode Island, with his wife and their two young sons.
