Biography Overview
Kara Wood was born in Florida and raised in Minnesota and North Dakota before moving to Rapid City, South Dakota. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of St. Thomas and earned her Juris Doctorate from William Mitchell College of Law, both in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Kara began her legal career as a Deputy State’s Attorney for Pennington County, South Dakota, prosecuting primarily misdemeanors and domestic violence cases. She then served as Associate General Counsel for National American University for many years before joining Morgan & Morgan as an eDiscovery attorney working remotely from Rapid City.
