Biography Overview
John Spies began his legal career in insurance defense in 2004 at an insurance defense firm becoming partner in 2012. He worked defending small-to-medium sized employers in the state of Kentucky in workers’ compensation claims.
In 2014 Mr. Spies began working defending the injured against the insurance companies, which is work he finds more fulfilling. He will not back down from the insurance companies and fights every day to protect the rights of the injured in workers’ compensation claims. He has a unique insight to each workers’ compensation claim and will put together a personalized, tailored litigation plan to ensure that the injured workers’ rights are protected and to obtain the best result possible.
John Spies received his undergraduate degree, in English at Indiana University in 2001. He then went on to complete his Juris Doctor (JD) at Northern Kentucky University, Salmon P. Chase College of Law where he graduated in 2004.
Mr. Spies resides in Louisville, Kentucky with his wife, Angie Spies. He enjoys sports, books, and anything outdoors.
