Biography Overview
Jo-Ellen Levy is an attorney in the Philadelphia office with a passion for helping individuals whose benefits have been wrongfully denied under their insurance policies. In her prior positions, Ms. Levy successfully represented medical providers, on behalf of their patients, who were denied reimbursement for major critical surgical care.
To that end, she served as in-house counsel for a spine surgery and pain management medical group as well as an attorney for a boutique law firm specializing in out-of-network provider claims. Ms. Levy received her Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School in Camden, New Jersey in 1992. During law school, she served as editor of Law Review, made Deans List and was a law clerk to Federal District Judge Clarence Newcomer in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Upon graduating from law school, Ms. Levy was a Law Clerk to the Honorable Melvin P. Antell, a Senior Appellate Judge for the State of New Jersey. She was also an Associate in the Commercial Litigation Department for Budd Larner. P.C., a premier law firm in New Jersey.
Ms. Levy owned a successful fitness business caring deeply for the health and well being of all of her clients. She is a mother of three grown children and a Golden Retriever.
Ms. Levy is a member of the Pennsylvania and Connecticut Bars.
