Biography Overview
Jared Martin was born in Monticello, Mississippi, and grew up in nearby Silver Creek, Mississippi. From there, he had the opportunity to attend and graduate from the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science in Columbus, MS, before enrolling at the University of Mississippi. Mr. Martin graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Business and the Sally McDonnell-Barksdale Honors College Magna Cum Laude before enrolling at the University of Mississippi School of Law.
Mr. Martin graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Mississippi School of Law. While enrolled there, Mr. Martin was an associate editor of the school's Law Review and an active member of the Moot Court Board. During his time there, Mr. Martin was runner-up in the McGlinchey Stafford Appellate Advocacy Competition as a 2L and won the same competition outright as a 3L. Mr. Martin won the annual University of Mississippi-Mississippi College Moot Court competition as a 2L and received the Best Oral Advocate Award at the same competition as a 3L. As a 3L, Mr. Martin shared the Outstanding Student Award for his performance in Federal Trial Practice.
Mr. Martin is licensed to practice law in the states of Mississippi and Tennessee. He practices in the Memphis office of Morgan & Morgan.
