Biography Overview
Greg is a dedicated attorney in Morgan & Morgan’s Premises Liability division, where he continues his lifelong commitment to serving both his clients and the community. His guiding principle is to always leave his clients in a better position than when he first met them, treating them as people rather than just cases. Greg has built a reputation for taking on tough cases and standing up against insurmountable odds, which is evident throughout his extensive legal career.
Before joining Morgan & Morgan, Greg served as a public defender for nearly nine years, gaining invaluable courtroom and trial experience while fighting for justice in the State of Georgia. He began by representing children in juvenile court and later transitioned to defending adults, many of whom faced life sentences. This experience allowed Greg to work closely with clients during some of their most difficult moments, and he zealously advocated for their rights at every stage of the legal process. Greg is especially proud of his work before the Georgia Supreme Court, where he successfully argued for a unanimous opinion that guaranteed the right to appeal for children across the state. In addition, Greg has contributed to the legal profession by serving on the faculty of the Georgia Public Defender Council's Transition Into Law Practice Program, where he mentored new attorneys on becoming effective trial lawyers.
Before embarking on his legal career, Greg was an award-winning investigative reporter, working for newspapers throughout the Southeast. His background in journalism honed his skills in investigation and advocacy, which he now uses to benefit his clients in the courtroom. Greg holds degrees from Northwestern State University (2001) and Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School (2013). He is admitted to the State Bar of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Supreme Court of Georgia, the District Court for the Southern District of Georgia, and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. Outside of work, Greg enjoys spending time with his family, cheering on the LSU Tigers, gardening, and backpacking in the mountains.
