Biography Overview
Barbara Y. Hernandez was born in Camaguey, Cuba and grew up in Georgia since the age of 7. She received her undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Spanish from the University of Georgia. Upon graduating in 2016, Ms. Hernandez worked as a legal assistant for a corporate law firm where she received mentorship and guidance as to the practice of law.
In 2019, Ms. Hernandez relocated to Fort Lauderdale, Florida and enrolled in Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad College of Law in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. During law school, Ms. Hernandez worked as a law clerk for a corporate law in Miami, Florida, gaining practical research and drafting skills involving compliance, tax and business matters. During her time as a law student, Ms. Hernandez also sought to acquire litigation experience and therefore shifted gears working as a law clerk for a personal injury firm in Fort Lauderdale. Here, she worked on all stages of premises liability and auto accident cases, acquiring pre-suit and litigation experience. Ms. Hernandez enjoyed helping injured individuals and took pride in holding companies accountable.
In July of 2023, Ms. Hernandez joined Morgan & Morgan, specializing in premises liability cases and seeks to help client recover physically and financially.
