Biography Overview
Mr. Phillips is an experienced trial attorney in California. Before focusing on individual advocacy, he spent over ten years defending governmental entities in various legal matters. This included civil rights, torts, employment law, as well as various complex litigation matters. During this period, he successfully handled cases in State and Federal Courts in both trial and appellate courts. This extensive experience has given him a deep understanding of legal strategies, particularly in representing clients injured due to negligence.
He graduated from La Sierra University with a Bachelor of Science degree, earned an MBA from La Sierra University and received his juris doctorate at the Pepperdine Caruso School of Law. Mr. Phillips actively contributes to the legal and academic communities. He previously served as an Editor of the California Municipal Handbook and teaches as an adjunct professor at La Sierra University, sharing his expertise with students. Additionally, he has participated in various professional committees, including the Transportation, Communication & Public Works Committee of the League of California Cities.
