| Clement L. Hyland |
Overview:
I was born in a small farming community in New Milford, Connecticut on September 27, 1949. I worked on my uncle’s dairy farm throughout my college years. During college I was a Sports Information Assistant for the University and had a number of articles on University teams published in various New York regional newspapers (Syracuse, Watertown, Albany). While in college I joined the Army ROTC (commissioned in the Signal Corps) and upon completion of Law School, I served 3 years active duty as a Capitan in the U.S. Army JAGC. I represented the government on appeals that individuals filed from their court martials. I then worked for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in Washington, D.C. for 5 years representing the agency in lawsuits brought by its own employees. I moved to Florida in 1982 and worked as a defense counsel until I joined Morgan & Morgan in 2000. I have had extensive trial experience, both in State and Federal Courts, and have handled over 50 appeals.
